I am talking about Korean dumplings, obviously. The last time the Puffin was in town we took a walk on 32nd street and caught a glimpse from outside. It is like a magnet that pulls you in.
We ordered some pork dumpings and waited patiently. Ok, I waited patiently - the Puffin thumbed her Crackleberry and started cursing under her breath about some work she has to do or re-do or something. Must be tough being a work-a-holic.
We were excited when they arrived. They were fresh, wearing a deep-golden tan and steaming in front of us. First bite - letdown - way too tough. The insides were tasty but it required too much effort to get to them. The dough was spun too thick or cooked too long, not sure which. As this was my first visit, I am apt to try again to make a final determination.
