Toast Box - Singapore

More Peanut Butter Love
I think I was missing the Bangkok sugared-buttered-toast lady because I've walked by Toast Box a hundred times on the way to my outdoor office and have never felt tempted. Today, I wanted some thick toast! I got the peanut butter version - a thick slice of toast with melted peanut butter, cubed for easy eating. Again, nothing I couldn't do myself but this is an example of the "how something tastes better when you don't have to do the work" theory. Toast Box makes it so easy, eating toothpicks included.

Pingles got a version with condensed milk and pork floss. Pork floss is shredded pork cooked with soy sauce and sugar to achieve a cotton-like consistency. Of course, she made the wrong move, mine was way better. She won't admit it though, she'll put in some type of comment that make me look like a loser. Now, I kinda am a loser, so that's ok - I'm simple too and I will add Toast Box's peanut butter toast to my simple man rotation.

Chains all over Singapore
(and ones in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Phillipines and Hong Kong)

  1. Yeah... I have to admit the peanut butter was better than the pork floss... Personally I found the texture too dry... still prefer my toast in HK!

  2. @Puffin - I love the toast in HK too! I gotta go back and get some of that! Especially the one with the condensed milk!
